Lathe Machine Operator

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible to work with lathe machinery to fabricate materials as per the production specifications. As a lathe operator your duties will include programming, monitoring operating and cleaning a lathe machine to create new plastic parts, while adhering to health & safety standards.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work from detailed blueprints provided.

· Resharpens and replaces tools, rakes chips and refills coolants.

· Operates Lathe machine to the appropriate specifications in conjunction with design and fabrication/assembly requirements.

· Control and adjust machine settings.

· Operate assigned machine shop tools including mill, lathe, horizontal and vertical saws, grinders and drill presses.

· Perform routing preventive maintenance and cleaning on assigned machines.

· Learn to use hand tools required to perform the job.

· Set up mills & lathes by installing and adjusting tools, attachments, collects, bushing, gears, stops & stock pushers.

· Following health and safety standards.

· Working hours will be according to day and night shifts.

· Whatever outputs they are carrying out, need to check as it should be according to given dimensions.

· Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.

· Assembling products and parts as per the specifications provided by the foreman.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & E XPERIENCE

· Should have at least 4-5 years’ experience in operating CNC Lathes, and Mills with code controls

· Reliable and ability to work with attention to details and safety standards.

· High school diploma with basic reading and writing skills.

· Ability to work in a team.

· Physically fit to carry out heavy work.

· Good communication skills, technical training in production.

· Creativity and dimensional accuracy, Previous experience in product development.

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,200.00 per month
