  • Coordinate communication and follow-up between Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, suppliers, customers, and international teams.
  • Prepare project status reports and executive updates, including launch readiness, milestone compliance, open actions, and risks.
  • Support project reviews and launch gates by ensuring that required activities and deliverables are properly tracked and updated.

  • Coordinate follow-up activities with customers and suppliers related to new product launches.
  • Participate in customer visits, technical reviews, and launch activities in Mexico and internationally, including activities at OMI's facility in China.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and document lessons learned from launch projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, NPI, APQP, new product development, quality, manufacturing, or related areas.
  • Experience participating in or coordinating new product launches, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Working knowledge of APQP and its main deliverables, including FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and PPAP.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes and product development stages.
  • Experience tracking project schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, and action items.
  • Experience coordinating activities across cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Excel, MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to prepare project status reports and communicate project risks and progress effectively.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Availability to work onsite.
  • Availability for national and international travel, including customer visits and activities at OMI's facility in China.
  • Spanish fluency required.
  • English B2 level or higher required.
