Launch Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Launch Engineer to drive new product launch activities from the project phase through successful mass production. This role is responsible for coordinating and driving cross-functional activities to ensure product, process, and production readiness meet project milestones, quality requirements, and production targets.

🚀 Key responsibilities

• Drive and follow up new product launch activities according to the project plan and milestone schedule.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Process Engineering, Quality, Production Planning, APQP, and other related functions to ensure project activities are completed on time.
• Review technical drawings, product specifications, and engineering changes, and assess their impact on manufacturing processes.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, issues, and potential delays, and coordinate with responsible teams to develop and close corrective actions.
• Coordinate and follow up process installation, sample build, and process verification activities to ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Work closely with the APQP team to support product and process audits and ensure a smooth transition to mass production.
• Ensure product and process readiness from the early project stage through sample builds, validation, and mass production handover.
• Communicate project status, issues, and key actions to the Project Manager and relevant local/global teams.

🎯Qualifications

• Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Launch Engineering, Project Engineering, New Product Development, or a related role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in new model / new product launch or manufacturing project management.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production readiness.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and product specifications.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, coordination, and follow-up skills.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Proactive, responsible, and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  Preferred / Advantage:

  • Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, IATF 16949, or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience working with global teams or international customers.

💼 Working Conditions

• Working Hours: 08:00 A.M. – 05:00 P.M.
• Working Days: Monday – Friday (5 days/week)
• Work from Home: Up to 1 day per week, depending on job responsibilities and business requirements.

🚗 Transportation: Employees are required to arrange their own transportation. The company does not provide a shuttle service.
