Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our compassionate team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of residents’ linens, clothing, and textiles while adhering to safety standards. Your efforts will ensure a hygienic environment that promotes comfort and dignity for our residents.

Hours

Days - Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Hours - Flexibility in start and end time but ability to work 4 hrs each day between 8 am and 6 pm

Duties

• Operate laundry equipment including washers and dryers to clean textiles effectively.
• Handle laundry materials with care, ensuring proper sorting, folding, and distribution of linens and clothing.
• Use laundry detergents and cleaning agents safely, following all sanitation and safety protocols.
• Laundry Backets and other materials handling tools to transport laundry items efficiently throughout the facility.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when loading and unloading laundry machines or moving large items.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by adhering to sanitation standards and safety procedures.
• Assist with garment care machine operation to ensure textiles are properly cleaned without damage.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning, laundry services, or textile cleaning is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting and carrying Laundry Baskets.
• Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing laundry loads accurately.
• Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocol guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and garment care.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with residents and staff.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 14.0 per week
