Laundry Aide

Bayside Care Center is looking for a Laundry Aide to become part of our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our consumers’ laundry is always pristine. Your focus on detail and dedication to excellence will help create a positive experience for everyone involved.

Essential Duties

• Washing and folding laundry items to operating commercial laundry and steam cleaning equipment.
• Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material.
• Deliver laundry items to the floors including towels and blankets for consumers.
• Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols.
• Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment.
• Cleans consumer beds and closets per schedule.
• Unloading laundry from commercial dryers.
• Counting laundry items that arrive from our third-party provider.

Qualifications

• Good customer service skills when handling requests
• Physical stamina when remaining stationary for extended periods and moving laundry loads.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks throughout each shift.
• Attention to detail when sorting colored items and handling delicate fabrics.
• Problem solving skills for addressing consumer issues and complaints.
• Prompt and regular attendance.
