Position Overview:

We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to help maintain a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, follow proper laundry and infection control procedures, and ensure residents’ personal laundry and community linens are handled with care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, wash, dry, and fold residents’ personal laundry and communal linens on a scheduled basis.
• Ensure all laundry is returned to the correct resident or department.
• Follow proper infection control procedures to prevent cross-contamination of personal belongings and communal items.
• Safely use laundry products and chemicals according to instructions and follow applicable safety guidelines.
• Keep laundry carts, machines, and equipment clean and in good working order, reporting any needed repairs to the supervisor.
• Keep laundry machines free of lint and debris.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked laundry and linen storage areas.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment when necessary.
• Attend required orientation, training sessions, and staff meetings.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks when needed.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward residents, visitors, families, and coworkers.
• Follow all Spring Hills policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Previous experience operating commercial-grade laundry equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of proper laundry procedures, infection control, and safe chemical handling is beneficial.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, handling laundry, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly as required, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, coworkers, and supervisors.
