Responsibilities

• Perform laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and patient clothing while following proper chemical handling procedures.
• Follow safety protocols related to OSHA standards and chemical agent handling to ensure a safe environment for yourself and others.
• Use manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices when moving heavy linens or cleaning supplies to prevent injury.
• Ensure all sanitation practices meet healthcare infection prevention and control guidelines to promote a sterile environment.
• Adhere to environmental services procedures to uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all healthcare areas.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or Laundry experience in healthcare facilities or similar environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, chemical handling, and sanitation protocols required.
• Experience with laundry operations including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens or clothing.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper manual handling techniques.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards patients, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence and infection prevention practices within healthcare settings.
