Laundry Assistant

Laundry Assistant — 25 hours per week

Shift times: 9.30am–4:00pm
Hours: 20 hours per week
Pay: £12.71 per hour

Duties will include:

• Washing, drying, ironing and folding residents’ clothing and household laundry
• Ensuring clothing is labelled and returned to the correct resident
• Handling residents’ clothing and personal belongings with care
• Keeping the laundry room clean, organised and safe
• Following infection-control and laundry-handling procedures
• Reporting damaged clothing or equipment faults
• Supporting the wider Domestic Department when required

• Able to complete domestic duties around residents’ day-to-day lives, preferences and individual needs.

• Respectful of residents’ privacy, dignity, choices and personal space.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Willing to follow health and safety, COSHH and infection-control procedures.

Applicants must understand that this is the residents’ home. All cleaning and laundry duties must be carried out respectfully and flexibly around residents’ daily routines, activities, meals, rest periods and individual care needs.

Previous experience in domestic or laundry role is desirable.

Successful applicants will be required to provide references, proof of their right to work in the UK and complete a DBS check.
