We are currently seeking a Laundry Attendant to join a dedicated team operating within a secure facility environment. This position plays an important role in ensuring laundry items are thoroughly inspected and processed safely before entering the laundering process.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive laundry deliveries and process incoming items
• Inspect laundry to ensure it is free from prohibited or unauthorised items
• Securely handle and store any identified contraband in accordance with procedures
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Report equipment faults, defects, and safety concerns to supervisors
• Maintain a clean, organised, and secure work area
• Follow all workplace safety and operational procedures
• Assist with additional duties as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Strong attention to detail
• A commitment to workplace health and safety
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions accurately
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Good communication skills
• Ability to perform physically active work and be on your feet throughout the shift

Essential Requirements

• Ability to work within a secure environment
• Must have an MR license
• Understanding of safe work practices and WHS requirements
• Ability to identify and report hazards, incidents, and near misses
• Pass required pre-employment checks
