Laundry Attendant

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team! Responsibilities

• Operate laundry machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and garment care equipment with precision and care.
• Handle materials safely, including heavy textiles and linens, utilizing push carts and manual handling techniques.
• Sort, fold, and organize laundry items efficiently while adhering to sanitation protocols.
• Use laundry detergents and cleaning agents responsibly, following safety standards in production.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including sanitation of equipment and surrounding spaces.
• Follow safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents during heavy lifting or machine operation.
• Assist with garment care services such as dry cleaning when required, ensuring proper handling of delicate textiles.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, laundry processes, and textile cleaning techniques.
• Ability to operate laundry machines including industrial dryers and garment care equipment safely.
• Experience with materials handling, manual handling, and heavy lifting in a production environment.
• Basic math skills for measuring detergents and calculating load capacities.
• Knowledge of safety standards in production environments to ensure compliance at all times.
• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members.
• Understanding of sanitation practices necessary for maintaining a hygienic workspace and clean textiles.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
