Laundry Attendant

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of linens, garments, and textiles through efficient laundry services. Responsibilities

• Operate laundry machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and garment care equipment to clean textiles effectively.
• Handle materials with care, including sorting, folding, and organizing linens, uniforms, and other textiles.
• Use proper sanitation procedures and laundry detergents to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks safely using push carts or other equipment to transport textiles throughout the facility.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols in production areas, including manual handling and equipment operation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine cleaning and sanitation of laundry stations and surrounding spaces.
• Assist with special laundry services such as dry cleaning or textile cleaning as needed to meet customer requests.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in cleaning, laundry services, or textile handling is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials with manual handling techniques.
• Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing inventory.
• Knowledge of safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.
• Strong customer service skills for interacting positively with team members and clients when necessary.
• Familiarity with garment care machine operation, industrial dryers, and sanitation procedures is advantageous.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety at all times.
