Laundry Attendant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within the hotel. This position is essential for ensuring that all items are laundered, dried, and pressed to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional guest experience in our hotel environment.

Duties

• Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment efficiently to launder items.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and garments according to established procedures.
• Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for specialized items.
• Inspect all items for stains or damage prior to laundering and report any issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
• Adhere to safety protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily laundry demands and ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, particularly in a hotel setting, is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with dry cleaning processes and equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
