Laundry Attendant

Responsibilities

• Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment with precision and care.
• Handle laundry materials using push carts and other equipment, ensuring safe manual handling practices.
• Sort, load, and unload laundry items according to type, color, and fabric care instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all laundry areas by following safety standards in production.
• Use laundry detergents and cleaning agents responsibly while adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to bulk linens or textiles, ensuring proper technique to prevent injury.
• Monitor equipment operation for optimal performance and report any malfunctions promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely delivery of clean textiles and addressing any special requests or concerns.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in cleaning, laundry services, or textile cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials manually with care.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures in a production environment.
• Basic math skills for measuring detergents or calculating loads.
• Familiarity with garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning units is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality laundry results.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
