Laundry Attendant

About the role

Laundry Attendant at Sparkletown Laundry, a modern, customer-focused laundry offering self-service and a professional wash, dry and fold service. You will help deliver an exceptional laundry experience by processing customer orders, managing laundry operations, and maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process customer wash, dry and fold orders.
• Accurately weigh, label, sort and track customer laundry.
• Wash, dry and neatly fold clothing, towels, linen and other accepted items.
• Select the correct machines, cycles and laundry chemicals for each order.
• Ensure each order is completed to a consistently high standard.
• Process customer payments and operate the point-of-sale and order-management systems.
• Communicate with customers in a friendly, professional and helpful manner.
• Maintain accurate records and protect customer belongings.
• Keep the laundry, machines, folding areas and customer areas clean and presentable.
• Identify and report damaged items, stains, machine faults or safety concerns.

About you

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Friendly, personable and comfortable engaging with customers.
• Skilled at folding clothes and linen neatly, efficiently and consistently.
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable using computers, tablets, mobile applications and payment systems.
• Willing to learn new systems, equipment and laundry processes.
• Physically capable of performing the inherent requirements of the role, including standing for the full shift, bending, reaching, lifting laundry bags and baskets, and repeatedly loading and unloading commercial machines.
• A current valid driver's licence.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on rostered weekdays and ability to reliably work five shifts per fortnight.
