About Soap Opry

Soap Opry Laundry is a full-service laundromat in East Nashville, operating since 2012. We offer self-service, wash-and-fold, pickup and delivery, solvent-free dry cleaning, and commercial laundry for hotels, short-term rentals, spas, and local businesses. We're a team of 8, and we take pride in getting every order right.

Shifts

• Day shift: about 7am–3pm
• Afternoon/evening shift: about 3pm–9pm
• Weekday and weekend shifts are available, and some mid-day shifts are offered
• Weekend availability is required
• Full-time and part-time openings

What You'll Do

Customer Service

• Greet every customer and keep the counter moving
• Take wash-and-fold and dry cleaning orders in our POS: weigh, tag, and note special instructions
• Help self-service customers with machines, payment, and questions
• Handle pickups and order questions in a friendly way, and bring problems to the manager

Laundry Processing

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold orders to our quality standard
• Process commercial linens: count, inspect for stains and damage, fold, and bag by account
• Hang and prepare dry cleaning orders
• Check every order for accuracy before it goes out
• Meet turnaround times and productivity targets for your shift

Store Cleanliness

• Complete the opening, mid-day, and closing cleaning checklists
• Keep machines, folding tables, carts, floors, and restrooms clean throughout your shift
• Clean lint traps and report machine problems right away

Teamwork

• Follow our SOPs for each station
• Use our in-house tools to see your assigned tasks and track your work
• Communicate clearly with your shift team and the manager

Workplace Expectations

• No personal phone use while working. Phones stay put away during your shift and can be used on breaks.
• No headphones or earbuds while working. You need to hear customers, machines, and your team.
• Show up on time for every scheduled shift. If you can't make it, call out according to policy, well in advance. No-call/no-shows are not tolerated.
• Keep a clean, professional appearance and wear closed-toe shoes.
• Stay productive during downtime. There is always folding, cleaning, or restocking to do.

Requirements

• Reliable and dependable, with your own transportation
• Friendly, patient, and comfortable working with the public
• Able to stand for a full shift, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Detail-oriented: you take pride in folding and counting accurately
• Available to work weekends
• Laundry, cleaning, retail, or hospitality experience is a plus but not required. We train.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
