Laundry Attendant/Housekeeping

Job Summary

Duties

• Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers and dryers to ensure proper cleaning of textiles
• Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items
• Use appropriate laundry detergents and sanitation products while adhering to safety standards in production
• Transport heavy loads using push carts or other materials handling tools while practicing manual handling safety protocols
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by regularly disinfecting surfaces and ensuring proper waste disposal
• Assist with customer service by responding promptly to guest requests for laundry services or textile needs
• Follow safety procedures diligently during all laundry processes to prevent accidents or injuries

Skills

• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and textile care methods including laundry washing, dry cleaning, and garment care machine operation
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following safety standards in production environments
• Basic math skills for measuring detergents, fabric softeners, or other laundry chemicals accurately
• Excellent sanitation practices to ensure all linens meet hygiene requirements for guest comfort and safety
• Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
• Familiarity with safety protocol adherence in industrial laundry settings
• Experience with hotel housekeeping or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
