Job Description

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Laundry Attendant / Houseman to join our team. This position is responsible for ensuring all hotel linens are cleaned, organized, and delivered efficiently while maintaining the cleanliness of public areas and supporting the housekeeping department. The ideal candidate is a team player who is willing to assist wherever needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Must be available to work some Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, fold, and organize all hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items according to hotel standards.
• Deliver clean linens, towels, and amenities to housekeeping carts, storage areas, and guest floors.
• Collect soiled linens from guest rooms and designated collection areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room, linen closets, and storage areas.
• Keep public areas, hallways, stairwells, and employee areas clean and presentable.
• Assist the housekeeping team during busy periods by helping strip rooms, remove trash, stock supplies, and deliver linens.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests and provide support to ensure rooms are ready on time.
• Be available to clean guest rooms when needed due to staffing shortages, high occupancy, or emergency situations.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment safely and report any maintenance issues.
• Monitor linen inventory and notify management of shortages or damaged items.
• Follow all health, safety, and hotel cleanliness standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support hotel operations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional attitude with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Basic English communication skills preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Laundry Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Housekeeping Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Hotel Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
