Duties

• Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to ensure efficient laundry processing.
• Handle materials with care using proper manual handling techniques, including heavy lifting and push carts, to transport linens, clothing, and textiles safely.
• Follow strict safety protocols and sanitation standards during all laundry activities to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
• Sort, fold, and organize linens and garments according to type, size, or designated area for easy distribution or storage.
• Maintain inventory of laundry detergents, cleaning supplies, and textiles; monitor usage levels and report shortages promptly.
• Adhere to textile cleaning procedures including washing, dry cleaning, and stain removal to preserve fabric quality.
• Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and sanitized in compliance with health regulations.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and laundry services.
• Ability to operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment efficiently.
• Experience with materials handling including heavy lifting and the use of push carts safely.
• Basic math skills for measuring detergents or calculating load capacities accurately.
• Familiarity with safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Excellent customer service skills to assist staff or guests with laundry needs courteously.
• Understanding of textile care procedures including stain removal and garment preservation techniques.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
