Laundry Operations Manager

We are looking for an experienced Laundry Operations Manager to lead the setup and operation of our new commercial laundry business. This role will be responsible for establishing the laundry operation from the ground up, including facility planning, equipment selection, workflow design, SOP development, team recruitment and training, and daily operations.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in commercial or professional laundry operations, particularly within the hotel, villa, hospitality, or industrial laundry sector, and understands the operational requirements of a B2B laundry business.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in professional/commercial laundry operations.
• Experience in hotel, villa, resort, hospitality, or industrial laundry.
• B2B laundry experience serving hotels or villas is a strong advantage.
• Hands-on experience in laundry setup, workflow planning, and equipment selection.
• Good understanding of washing, drying, ironing, quality control, packing, and linen handling.
• Experience developing SOPs, operational standards, and quality controls.
• Experience in team recruitment, training, and supervision.
• Good knowledge of laundry chemicals, inventory, and operational cost control.
• Able to advise on facility requirements and production capacity.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and operational management skills.
• Willing to be involved in the setup phase and daily operations of the new laundry business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Laundry Setup & Planning

• Plan the laundry layout, workflow, equipment, and production capacity.
• Advise on machines, utilities, and other operational requirements.
• Set up an efficient workflow from linen receiving to delivery.

2. SOP & Quality Standards

• Develop and implement laundry SOPs and quality standards.
• Establish procedures for linen handling, chemical usage, rewash, and quality control.
• Ensure hygiene, safety, and operational standards are maintained.

3. Team Management

• Determine manpower requirements and support recruitment.
• Train and supervise the laundry team.
• Monitor team performance and productivity.

4. Daily Operations

• Manage daily laundry operations and production.
• Monitor quality, turnaround time, productivity, and machine performance.
• Identify operational issues and implement improvements.

5. B2B Collection & Delivery

• Set up and manage collection and delivery processes for hotel, villa, and other business clients.
• Ensure accurate order tracking and timely delivery.
• Maintain service standards and client coordination.

6. Cost & Inventory Control

• Monitor chemicals, linen, supplies, and inventory.
• Control operational costs and minimize wastage.
• Prepare basic operational reports for Management.
