Laverie is not your typical laundromat and we're not looking for typical laundromat employees.

We created Laverie with a simple idea: something as ordinary as doing laundry can still be thoughtful, welcoming, and beautifully done. Since opening our first location in SoHo, we've built a neighborhood business centered around exceptional service, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality.

Now we're bringing Laverie to the East Village, and we're building the team that will help shape our newest location from day one.

We're looking for dependable, warm, hardworking people who take pride in doing things well. Experience in laundry, hospitality, retail, or customer service is helpful—but attitude, reliability, and attention to detail matter even more.

The Role

As a Laundry Specialist, you'll be responsible for both caring for our customers and caring for their clothing.

You'll work across different parts of the store, including the front counter, Wash & Fold production, and maintaining the space. Every team member is trained in the full Laverie process so that we can work together efficiently and provide a consistently great experience.

What You'll Do

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, attentive service
• Receive and accurately enter Wash & Fold orders into our POS system
• Carefully read and follow customer preferences and garment-care instructions
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and package customer laundry according to Laverie's standards
• Identify and properly handle special items, stains, air-dry items, and no-dry garments
• Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently
• Help self-service customers understand and operate our machines
• Keep orders organized throughout the entire laundry process
• Maintain a clean, beautiful, and welcoming store
• Communicate clearly with teammates about orders, customer concerns, machine issues, and workflow
• Help manage busy periods while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Learn our systems, standards, and approach to hospitality
• Contribute to the culture of a growing neighborhood business

Previous experience in a laundromat, dry cleaner, hotel, housekeeping, retail, restaurant, or hospitality environment is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person.
