Laundry Worker

Job Overview

As a Laundry Worker, you’ll keep garments and linens clean, cared for, and ready for use. You’ll sort items, operate laundry equipment, and follow sanitation and safety standards throughout each step of the process. Your attention to detail and steady teamwork help deliver dependable laundry services.

Responsibilities

• Sort laundry by fabric, color, cleaning method, and care instructions; identify items needing special handling.
• Operate garment care machines, industrial dryers, and equipment for laundry washing, textile cleaning, and dry cleaning, following operating procedures.
• Measure and use laundry detergents appropriately; clean work areas and maintain sanitation.
• Handle materials, push carts, and lift or move laundry safely, following manual handling practices and safety protocols.
• Check finished items for cleanliness and damage, complete basic counts, and respond to service requests with helpful customer service.
• Your impact: Careful sorting and safe processing help customers receive clean, well-maintained garments and linens when they need them.

Qualifications

• Cleaning or laundry experience is helpful; familiarity with laundry services, detergents, and garment care equipment is preferred.
• Able to perform materials handling and heavy lifting, move push carts, and follow safe manual handling practices.
• Basic math skills for counting items and measuring detergent.
• Able to follow safety standards in production, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
• Reliable, attentive to detail, and ready to work collaboratively while providing courteous customer service.

Pay: Up to $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
