Lawn Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawn Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic landscaping team. Responsibilities

• Perform mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning to ensure lawns and landscapes are well-manicured and healthy.
• Maintain and operate various hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as trimmers, blowers, and excavators.
• Identify different plant species and assess their health, providing appropriate care or treatment as needed.
• Manage landscape features including hardscape elements like pathways, patios, and retaining walls to ensure structural integrity and visual appeal.
• Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to promote plant health while adhering to environmental regulations.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules for diverse landscapes.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or tree trimming to support year-round landscape maintenance efforts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping machinery and hand tools.
• Strong background in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields.
• Ability to identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests accurately.
• Knowledge of pesticide management practices and safety procedures.
• Experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred; ability to operate equipment such as excavators is advantageous.
• Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in all weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects safely.
