Lawn Technician

This is a great outdoor career opportunity with a 44-year Chico company looking to fill a permanent, year-round, full-time position. No experience needed; we offer on-the-job training.

Our Lawn Technicians specialize in lawn and ornamental landscape applications for our residential and commercial clients, including fertilization, broadleaf and weed grass controls, pre-emergents, insecticides, fungicides, and diagnostics. This is not a landscape maintenance position; we do not mow or prune, etc. We're looking for a hardworking, honest, self-directed employee to be trained for this position.

This position includes heavy lifting, lots of walking, and working outside in all types of weather. You must have a CA driver's license as well as a clean DMV record.

Hours: Mon - Thur 7am - 5:30pm

We employ a 4/10 work week schedule which allows for regular 3-day weekends and greater flexibility in adjusting for missed time.

Compensation: $50,000+ per year starting, including wages beginning at $22.00/hour.

We provide biannual or annual raises depending on tenure and match all state minimum wage increases regardless of pay level. Our current Lawn Technicians earn between $50k-$70k per year depending on tenure and career level.

We can require up to 10 overtime days per year, but for those who desire more, there are opportunities available.
