Mack Daddy Lawn & Pest is looking for an experienced Lawn & Pest Technician to help grow our service operation in Norman, Oklahoma.

We're looking for someone who's dependable, has common sense, takes pride in their work, and can get things done without needing someone looking over their shoulder.

This position is primarily focused on lawn care, with approximately 70% lawn treatments and 30% pest control. You'll run your own route, work directly with customers, and have opportunities to earn additional money through upsells and new sales.

We're a growing company looking for someone who wants to grow with us. If you're reliable, enjoy working independently, and want to make good money doing quality work, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and stock your service vehicle daily with fertilizers, weed control, and pest control products.
• Run a solo route servicing residential properties.
• Apply fertilizers, weed control, and turf treatments with a focus on lawn health.
• Perform residential pest control treatments as needed.
• Identify weeds, lawn issues, and common turf problems and recommend solutions.
• Communicate confidently and professionally with homeowners.
• Generate additional income through upsells and new customer sales.
• Work closely with the owner to improve routes, service quality, and overall operations.
• Take ownership of your work and make good decisions independently.
• Represent the Mack Daddy brand with professionalism, confidence, and a good attitude.

What We're Looking For

We're big believers that you can teach someone skills, but you can't teach common sense, work ethic, or reliability.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is dependable. If you say you're going to do something, you follow through.
• Has common sense. You can think through problems, make good decisions, and figure things out without constantly needing direction.
• Takes ownership. You care about doing things right, even when nobody's watching.
• Communicates well. You're comfortable talking with customers and know how to handle different personalities.
• Works independently. You don't need someone constantly managing your day.
• Has a positive attitude. You take your job seriously without taking yourself too seriously.
• Is motivated. You want to earn good money and aren't afraid of putting in the work.

Requirements

• Lawn care, fertilization, or weed control experience strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of lawn care experience preferred.
• Ability to identify common weeds, turf issues, and lawn treatment needs.
• Comfortable communicating with customers and identifying sales opportunities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must meet applicable driving and employment background requirements.
• Reliable transportation to work.

Pesticide applicator licenses and certifications are a big plus!

Pay & Commission Opportunities

$18–$25/hour base pay, depending on experience and qualifications.

On top of your hourly pay, you'll have opportunities to earn additional income through:

• Commissions on upsells and new customer sales.
• Potential to earn $25–$300+ per day in additional commissions.
• Performance-based bonuses.
• Uncapped earning potential.

This isn't a sales-only position. You'll have steady hourly pay while also having the opportunity to make significantly more by helping grow the business.

The more value you bring, the more money you can make.
