Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair various lawnmower engines, including gas-powered and diesel models, utilizing schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform comprehensive inspections, maintenance, and repairs on small engines, power tools, and outdoor equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring, switches, sensors, and electrical diagnostics to identify faults accurately.
• Conduct mechanical repairs on engines, gearboxes, blades, belts, and other critical components using hand tools and power tools.
• Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed and parts used; ensure all work complies with safety standards.
• Assist customers by explaining repair procedures, recommending maintenance plans, and providing excellent customer service.
• Handle heavy lifting safely when moving or installing equipment; perform manual handling tasks as required for equipment servicing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a mechanic with dealership experience or service technician background preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of small engines, power generation systems, and heavy equipment repair.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and electrical diagrams; experience with electrical diagnostics essential.
• Familiarity with diesel engine repair and automotive repair techniques is highly desirable.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other mechanical repair tools effectively.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and accurately through systematic diagnostics.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely; comfortable working in outdoor environments under varying conditions.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
