About the role

Manila Offshoring Services Inc. (MOSI) is a newly established Philippine-based company providing professional offshore administration and virtual assistant services to Australian businesses. We are looking for a qualified lawyer who can provide legal support on an occasional, as-needed basis, with the potential for a larger and more consistent workload as the company grows. Initially, there will not be a fixed number of hours each week. Legal work will be assigned when required, with the workload expected to increase as MOSI expands its client base and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Providing general legal advice to the company
• Reviewing and preparing contracts and agreements
• Reviewing client and service agreements
• Assisting with employment and contractor agreements
• Reviewing company policies, terms and conditions, and other business documents
• Advising on corporate and commercial matters
• Assisting with compliance and regulatory requirements
• Identifying potential legal risks and providing practical advice
• Assisting with legal matters relating to Australian clients and Philippine operations where appropriate
• Providing ongoing legal support as the business develops

About you

• Qualified and licensed lawyer in the Philippines
• Experience in corporate, commercial, employment or business law
• Strong understanding of Philippine corporate and commercial requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Practical and commercially minded approach to legal matters
• Comfortable working remotely
• Able to provide support on an occasional, as-needed basis
• Experience working with businesses that provide services to international clients, particularly Australian businesses, would be an advantage
