Conveyancing Lawyer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage end-to-end conveyancing matters for residential and/or commercial properties
• Draft and review contracts, transfer documents, and settlement statements
• Liaise with clients, agents, financial institutions, and government bodies
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Maintain high levels of client service and professional integrity

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Attorney-at-Law, admitted to the Sri Lanka bar.
• Notarial licence (Colombo District).
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in real estate practice.
• Practical experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating sale and purchase agreements, leases, mortgages and transfer documents.
• Familiarity with land registration procedures, title searches, due diligence and encumbrance resolution.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with bank and corporate real estate matters is an advantage.
