Role: Layout Artist – Intern

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Layout Artist Intern to support our

Publications Department in designing and formatting educational books, study materials, test papers, and other academic content. The intern will work closely with the editorial and design teams to ensure accurate formatting, visual consistency, and print-ready layouts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in designing and formatting educational books, study materials, question

papers, and other publication materials.

2. Work on page layout, text formatting, alignment, spacing, margins, headers, footers,

and page numbering.

3. Format mathematical equations, scientific diagrams, tables, charts, and illustrations as

per publication requirements.

4. Assist in preparing layouts using Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, or

other relevant desktop publishing (DTP) software.

5. Coordinate with content developers, editors, proofreaders, and senior designers to

incorporate corrections and revisions.

6. Ensure consistency in fonts, styles, formatting, and overall presentation throughout

the publication.

7. Check page layouts for typographical errors, alignment issues, missing content, and

formatting inconsistencies.

8. Assist in preparing final files for printing and digital publishing, following the

prescribed specifications.

9. Maintain organized working files and follow naming conventions and version-control

procedures.

10. Complete assigned tasks within deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

 Graduate, undergraduate, or diploma holder in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Publication

Design, or a related field; fresher’s may apply.

 Basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Corel DRAW, Adobe Illustrator, or similar

DTP/design software.

 Good understanding of typography, page composition, alignment, spacing, and layout

principles.

 Attention to detail and the ability to identify formatting errors.

 Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new tools and processes.

 Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
