Layout Mechanic

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Layout Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately assemble and align mechanical components. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly by utilizing precision measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and specialized industrial equipment. Duties

1. Layout circular and angular work of multiple shapes, using templates where applicable.

2. Set-up, adjust and operate metal fabricating and forming machines to produce parts in accordance with specifications.

3. Use drawings, specifications, templates and job layouts to assemble work that involves fitting, spot welding and riveting.

4. Use measuring instruments and conduct in process inspection of assembled parts to ensure quality standards are met.

5. Inspect and check quality of finished product.

6. Calculate bend, angles and punch tolerances for shear and break.

7. Devise special fixtures and work methods.

8. Perform simple maintenance or repairs; submit work request for more complex maintenance work.

9. Maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a neat and orderly condition.

10. Follow safety rules.

Pay: $24.18 - $27.95 per hour
