Laytime/Demurrage Analyst- Dubai

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Demurrage & Trading Operations Analyst to manage the end-to-end demurrage claims process while supporting trading activities for bulk shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete demurrage claims lifecycle from calculation to settlement.
• Review Charter Party / Sales & Purchase Contracts, NOR SOF, timesheets and vessel documentation.
• Perform accurate laytime, demurrage and despatch calculations.
• Prepare and issue claims to suppliers, receivers, charterers and other counterparties.
• Review incoming demurrage claims and identify calculation/documentation discrepancies.
• Prepare responses, rejections, counteroffers and negotiate disputed claims.
• Monitor claim deadlines and follow up on outstanding/aging claims.
• Coordinate with Finance regarding approved claims, invoices, payments and recoveries.
• Maintain comprehensive claim trackers, documentation and periodic reports.
• Support Trading activities including Purchase Orders, Sales/Purchase Contracts, Proforma Invoices and LC arrangements for bulk shipments.

Required Candidate profile :

Min 4+ year of experience in relevant profile .

Experience in Demurrage / Laytime / Shipping / Chartering / Trading Operations
Strong understanding of Charter Party terms, NOR, SOF and vessel operations
Hands-on experience with demurrage claims and laytime calculations
Exposure to bulk commodity / dry bulk shipments is highly desirable
Understanding of trade documentation, contracts and LC arrangements

Strong numerical & excel skills.
