Lead, AI Architect - IoT Platform

A global IoT company is looking for a senior technical leader to drive the evolution of its core technology platform into an AI-native, highly scalable ecosystem. This role spans cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, middleware, data platforms and AI infrastructure, with responsibility for shaping the architecture and foundational capabilities that support the organisation's next phase of growth.

Beyond traditional infrastructure architecture, you'll lead the development of a modern platform that enables AI adoption across the business. A key focus will be building the AI infrastructure layer , including enterprise AI gateways, LLM/SLM routing and cost optimisation, model serving, and GPU/NPU resource orchestration. You'll also drive the integration of AI agents into infrastructure operations, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and incident management, using AI to automate deployment checks, detect anomalies, analyse logs and accelerate root-cause troubleshooting.

We're looking for a technically strong architect or engineering leader with deep experience across cloud-native infrastructure, distributed systems, middleware and modern data platforms , alongside hands-on exposure to AI infrastructure and model serving. Experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, messaging systems, observability platforms and public or hybrid cloud environments is important, as is familiarity with AI gateways, open-source model hosting, inference optimisation and AI-driven operations.
