Lead Application Engineer

About the role

Lead Application Engineer - Adhesives role involves driving successful execution of global and regional projects, including adhesives product recommendations, customized product applications, new product demonstrations and troubleshooting for customers. You will work with application equipment and support process optimization to provide solutions to enhance customer processes, and perform technical visits including meetings, audits, trials, demonstrations and troubleshooting with documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Drive successful execution of global/regional SBU projects, including adhesives product recommendations, customized product applications, new product demonstrations and troubleshooting for customers
• Work with application equipment and support process optimization to provide solutions to enhance customer processes
• Recommend solutions and perform technical visits (meeting, audits, trials, demonstrations, troubleshooting) for customers with documentation
• Lead and coordinate with project team, contribute to project plans and support the team to deliver project goals
• Manage and coordinate technical aspects of product application, collaborating closely with global team to accelerate developments and align on key projects and business priorities
• Communicate technical outcomes effectively, preparing reports, presentations and recommendations
• Perform laboratory work for samples from customers and report technical results
• Report and investigate quality issues and customer claims, collaborating with relevant parts of the organization
• Conduct product application and technical training for customers and internal team
• Communicate directly with sales, marketing, PD, Innovation, and project team members

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or relevant technical discipline
• More than 5 years working experience, preferably with knowledge and experience in electronic industry, adhesives, circuit board protection, thermal management material and equipment dispensing
• Fluent in English communication and presentation skills.
• Mandarin speaking is an advantage.

• Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, and Statistical Analysis Software is preferred
