Lead Application Engineer

About the role

Lead Application Engineer for adhesives, driving successful execution of global and regional projects including adhesives product recommendations, customized product applications, new product demonstrations and troubleshooting for customers. You will work with application equipment and support process optimization to provide solutions that enhance customer processes, conduct technical visits and laboratory work, and lead project coordination across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive successful execution of global and regional SBU projects, including adhesives product recommendations, customized product applications, new product demonstrations and troubleshooting for customers
• Work with adhesive dispensing process and equipment, supporting process optimization to enhance customer processes
• Recommend solutions and perform technical visits (meetings, audits, trials, demonstrations, troubleshooting) for customers with documentation
• Lead and coordinate with project teams, contribute to project plans and support delivery of project goals
• Manage and coordinate technical aspects of product application, collaborating closely with global teams to accelerate developments and align on key projects
• Communicate technical outcomes effectively, preparing reports, presentations and recommendations
• Perform laboratory work for customer samples and report technical results to customers
• Report and investigate quality issues and customer claims, collaborating with relevant parts of the organization
• Conduct product application and technical training for customers and internal teams
• Communicate directly with sales, marketing, product development, innovation and project team members

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or relevant technical discipline
• More than 5 years working experience, preferably with knowledge and experience in electronic industry, adhesives, circuit board protection, thermal interface material (TIM) and equipment dispensing
• Fluent in English communication and presentation skills
• Project management skills
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team player - able to share knowledge, motivate and positively influence team members
• Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, and Statistical Analysis Software preferred
