Lead Application Security Engineer- DevSecOps

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Application Security Engineer- DevSecOps to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will drive application security strategy and strengthen secure software delivery practices across a technology organization operating in a remote-friendly environment. The individual will partner with engineering and security leadership to improve secure development workflows, expand testing coverage, and reduce risk across modern application platforms. This is a highly collaborative position focused on embedding DevSecOps principles into the SDLC and supporting the organization’s broader security posture.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $143,000 – $243,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Drive application security strategy and secure SDLC practices across the organization
• Contribute best practices to the enterprise security catalog
• Own and enhance application security capabilities
• Lead the API security testing program
• Collaborate with teams to design and operate secure platforms
• Document and automate security controls against common attack vectors
• Track and resolve security issues in partnership with enterprise security leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a security-focused development role in an agile environment
• At least 3 years of experience as a software developer
• Strong software engineering background with coding experience in multiple languages
• Practical experience with Docker, Terraform, and cloud platforms
• Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and SAML
• Experience with SAST, SCA, DAST, and API security testing
