Duties

• Assist in managing daily crop production activities, ensuring healthy plant growth and optimal yields
• Oversee irrigation management, including system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure precise water delivery
• Implement and monitor integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to control pests and diseases effectively
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for greenhouse cultivation, outdoor gardening, and landscaping tasks
• Lead horticultural teams in planting, pruning, garden trimming, lawn care, and landscape maintenance projects
• Conduct plant identification and health assessments to detect pests or deficiencies early
• Operate hand tools and heavy lifting equipment safely during planting, harvesting, or landscape projects
• Maintain detailed records of crop progress, pest control measures, irrigation schedules, and environmental conditions

Skills

• Proven experience with greenhouse cultivation, outdoor gardening, or landscaping projects
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems and agricultural environmental control systems
• Familiarity with crop production techniques and horticultural best practices
• Ability to manage irrigation systems efficiently and troubleshoot issues promptly
• Experience with plant pest control methods including integrated pest management (IPM) strategies
• Skilled in managing horticultural teams to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Proficiency in using hand tools and basic math for measurements and calculations in garden planning
• Physical ability for heavy lifting, outdoor work in varying weather conditions, and detailed garden trimming tasks
• Excellent plant identification skills combined with a passion for gardening and sustainable agriculture
