Lead Auditor

Seeking a lead auditor who can protect the company’s capital, verify subcontractor and supplier billing, and ensure project execution matches contractual terms and UAE laws.

Key Responsibilities-

Contract & Change Order Compliance:

• Review construction contracts, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents to ensure terms align with UAE construction and labor laws.
• Audit change orders, variations, and extension-of-time (EOT) claims to prevent inflated costs or unauthorized disbursements.

Project Cost & Financial Auditing:

• Examine project budgets, cost-to-complete reports, and actual site expenditures to detect cost overruns or fraudulent billing.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier invoices, payment certificates, and retention releases for accuracy.

Internal Control & Risk Management:

• Evaluate operational and financial internal controls across site offices, procurement, and head office accounting.
• Identify financial, operational, and legal risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Reporting & Regulatory Alignment:

• Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations for executive management and project managers.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with local tax, corporate, and anti-money laundering (AML) frameworks via specialized providers like CDA Audit.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Civil/Industrial Engineering.
• Certifications: Professional credentials such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, CA, or RICS are strongly preferred.
• Experience: 4 to 8+ years of progressive auditing experience, with a specific focus on contract contracting, project accounting, or construction-sector internal audit in the UAE or GCC.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems ( E Promise, SAP, Oracle), advanced MS Excel, and audit management software.
