Central Valley Gates and Access Control is looking for a motivated, dependable Automatic Gate & Access Control Installer to join our growing team.

We specialize in the installation, service, and repair of automatic gates, gate operators, access control systems, telephone entry systems, and related equipment throughout the Sacramento and Central Valley area.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction, electrical, low-voltage, gate, access control, or mechanical experience.

This is a field position requiring someone who is comfortable working outdoors, using hand and power tools, troubleshooting equipment, and working as part of a professional installation team.

Responsibilities

• Install automatic gate operators and related equipment
• Install and troubleshoot access control systems
• Install card readers, keypads, telephone entry systems, vehicle detection equipment, and safety devices
• Install and terminate low-voltage wiring and conduit
• Assist with gate and fence installations
• Perform service calls, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Read basic plans, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions
• Use hand tools, power tools, drills, saws, and other construction equipment
• Perform concrete, trenching, conduit, and underground wiring work when required
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, and other trades
• Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer installation requirements
• Complete installations accurately and according to company standards

Qualifications

Preferred experience:

• Low-voltage electrical
• Electrical or electronics experience
• Welding or metal fabrication
• Construction experience
• Gate and fence installation
• Experience with LiftMaster, DoorKing, FAAC, Maximum Controls, HySecurity, or similar equipment

Required:

• Automatic gate installation or service
• Access control installation
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Type

Full-Time 30-40 hours per week. Some overtime required. No weekend work.

Location: Sacramento / Central Valley, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime or emergency service work as needed
