Responsibilities

• Lead by example in preparing high-quality non-alcoholic beverages, coffee drinks, and food items with precision and care.
• Oversee daily café operations, ensuring efficient retail sales transactions using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
• Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service, supporting their development and fostering teamwork.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards across all areas, including food handling, beverage service, and equipment sanitation.
• Process cash transactions accurately, handle cash handling duties, and reconcile register totals at shift end.
• Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, ingredients, and supplies; coordinate with suppliers as needed.
• Train staff on proper food preparation techniques, beverage service protocols, POS usage, and health & safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with food industry regulations and company policies related to food safety, food handling, and sanitation.

Experience

• Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage service.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a café or retail environment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is essential for processing transactions efficiently.
• Solid understanding of retail sales transactions, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for register reconciliation.
• Experience in food service or food industry roles demonstrating attention to detail in food safety and hygiene practices.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively while maintaining quality standards.
