Lead Barista (Weekends)

Located inside Starland Sportsplex & Fun Park, Fuel Coffee & Bagel is looking for a Lead Barista to own weekend operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role—you’ll be making drinks, working with guests, and leading the team at the same time. You’ll be responsible for keeping the café running smoothly during peak hours while maintaining strong standards around quality, cleanliness, and service.

Typical shift hours are Saturdays and Sundays, 6:30am to 3pm.

What You'll Do

• Lead weekend shifts and keep the team on-track and organized during busy periods
• Make coffee, drinks, and light food items quickly and consistently
• Take orders, use Toast POS, and ensure accuracy from order to handoff
• Create a great guest experience—answer questions, make recommendations, and handle requests with a positive attitude
• Keep the café clean, stocked, and running efficiently
• Support and train baristas on workflow, service, and standards
• Monitor inventory and flag low stock or issues proactively
• Ensure food safety and handling standards are followed

What we’re looking for

• Barista experience required; leadership or shift lead experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills—you’re friendly, patient, and engaging
• Confident leading a team and keeping things on track during high volume
• Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable with POS systems and basic cash handling
• Knowledge of food safety basics
• Reliable with consistent weekend availability
• Able to be on your feet and moving for most of the shift
