Lead Bartender

Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the bartending team to deliver outstanding service while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
• Oversee daily bar operations, including inventory management, stock ordering, and cleanliness standards in compliance with food safety regulations
• Develop and refine beverage recipes, including cocktails, wine pairings, and craft beer selections to enhance guest satisfaction
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
• Provide expert knowledge of spirits, wine, brewing techniques, and mixology to educate guests and staff alike
• Manage guest interactions with professionalism, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business
• Coordinate with kitchen staff during food service events such as banquets or catering functions to deliver seamless hospitality experiences

Requirements

• Proven experience in bartending with a strong background in upscale dining or fine dining environments
• Demonstrated leadership skills with at least 2 years of previous bar management or supervisory roles
• Extensive knowledge of POS systems for processing transactions efficiently
• Expertise in cocktail creation, beverage recipe development, wine knowledge, craft beer experience, and spirits handling
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle challenging situations gracefully
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
• Food safety certification and knowledge of proper food handling practices are required
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
