Lead Bartender

Job Overview

Duties

• Lead and supervise the bartending team to deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced setting.
• Develop and refine beverage recipes, including cocktails, wine pairings, craft beers, and spirits to enhance menu offerings.
• Oversee daily bar operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; handle cash handling with precision.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies at all times.
• Provide training and mentorship to bartenders on mixology techniques, beverage presentation, and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff on food and beverage pairing options for special events or banquets.
• Manage guest interactions professionally, addressing concerns promptly to ensure an exceptional experience.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to boost revenue through upselling and promotions.
• Maintain a lively atmosphere by engaging guests with knowledge of spirits, brewing processes, wine varieties, and cocktail trends.

Experience

• Proven experience as a bartender with strong cocktail crafting skills; fine dining or nightclub experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in a bar or restaurant setting; previous bar management experience is highly desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficient in processing transactions accurately.
• Deep understanding of beverage recipe development, mixology techniques, wine knowledge, craft beer trends, and spirits expertise.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience working in diverse hospitality environments including food service establishments, banquet settings, or catering events.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures within the food industry.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining high-quality service standards.
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales, inventory counts, and cash handling procedures.

Pay: $7.50 - $14.00 per hour
