Lead Bartender

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-driven Lead Bartender to join the opening team of a new restaurant and bar within an exclusive private members-only racquet club.

The Lead Bartender will take ownership of the bar experience, helping create a welcoming, polished, and engaging environment for club members and their guests. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about hospitality, confident behind the bar, and enjoys being part of a team where everyone contributes to the overall guest experience and is willing to step in wherever needed to support one another.

As a key member of the opening team, the Lead Bartender will help establish bar standards, service expectations, and a strong culture of hospitality from day one. This is an opportunity to help shape the bar experience and member service from the ground up while being part of a team that values professionalism, collaboration, and genuine hospitality.

Duties

● Lead day-to-day bar operations and provide exceptional, personalized service to members and guests.

● Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages with consistency and attention to detail.

● Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar throughout service.

● Help develop and maintain cocktail offerings, recipes, and bar standards.

● Assist with inventory, ordering, receiving, and proper storage of bar products.

● Help train and support bartenders and other team members on beverage knowledge, service standards, and proper bar procedures.

● Build genuine relationships with members and provide a warm, professional, and memorable experience.

● Work closely with the restaurant team to ensure smooth communication and service.

● Assist with opening and closing duties, cash handling, side work, and maintaining health and safety standards.

● Be willing to step outside of the bar role when needed, including running food and drinks, bussing tables, assisting servers, resetting tables, and supporting other areas of the restaurant during busy periods.

● Jump in wherever needed to help the team deliver an excellent overall club experience.

● Represent the restaurant and club with professionalism, discretion, and a positive attitude.

What We’re Looking For

● Previous bartending experience, with lead or senior-level experience preferred.

● Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bartending experience in a quality restaurant, hotel, private club, or similar hospitality environment; lead or senior-level experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer, with pride in quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Natural leadership skills and the ability to lead by example, support fellow team members, and help maintain high service standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, polished, and professional approach.
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
• Reliable, professional, and comfortable working in an exclusive private members-only club, with an appreciation for discretion and personalized service.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
