Lead Bartender

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the bartending team to deliver top-tier service, maintaining high standards of hospitality and professionalism.
• Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Develop innovative beverage recipes and seasonal specials to enhance the guest experience and drive sales.
• Manage bar operations efficiently, including inventory control, stock ordering, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, processing transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Train staff on POS systems, beverage preparation techniques, food handling safety, and customer service excellence.
• Maintain a lively yet organized bar environment by managing time effectively during busy periods and coordinating with kitchen staff for seamless service.
• Ensure all legal alcohol service regulations are followed while fostering a responsible drinking environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in bartending with a strong background in mixology, spirits knowledge, wine expertise, and cocktail creation.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience as a Lead Bartender or Bar Manager preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling and cashiering is essential.
• Extensive knowledge of beverage recipe development, craft beer offerings, wine varieties, and spirits brands.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience working in fine dining establishments or upscale hospitality environments is highly desirable.
• Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly without compromising quality or safety standards.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and banquet or catering experience is a plus.
