Key Responsibilities:

- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models
- Work with analytics engineers on data modeling and dimension table design
- Implement dbt data quality tests and ensure data used in dashboards is accurate
- Centralize and standardize ~80 dashboards into a single hub with consistent architecture
- Create comprehensive documentation for all dashboards including lineage and refresh schedules
- Manage access control and resolve dashboard permission issues promptly
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and custom dashboard development for stakeholder requests
- Optimize dashboard performance and query efficiency
- Stay current with BI tool features and recommend improvements
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on data visualization best practices
- Train stakeholders on self-service analytics capabilities
Required Experience:
- 6-10 years of BI/Analytics engineering experience
- 4+ years developing dashboards in Tableau or similar BI tools
- 3+ years with SQL and data warehouse concepts
- 2+ years working with business stakeholders and requirements gathering
Technical Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency in Tableau (or equivalent BI tool)
- Advanced SQL: complex queries, window functions, performance optimization
- Experience with dbt (data transformation and testing)
- Knowledge of Snowflake and data warehouse architectures
- Familiarity with Plotly and ThoughtSpot (or similar analytics platforms)
- Basic Python or JavaScript for custom visualizations (desirable)
- Understanding of data governance and security best practices
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Design thinking mindset with focus on user experience
- Attention to detail and quality assurance
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholder requests and prioritize effectively
- Collaborative team player with willingness to mentor junior team members
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred
