Lead Brewer

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Brewer to join our innovative brewing team. Duties

• Lead and supervise all aspects of the brewing process, from ingredient handling to fermentation and packaging, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
• Oversee sanitation procedures throughout the facility, maintaining compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly, performing mechanical repairs or coordinating maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Operate and monitor brewing equipment, including tanks, pumps, valves, and material handling systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and material transfers with safety and efficiency in mind.
• Enforce safety standards in production areas by conducting regular safety audits, training team members on safe practices, and adhering to food safety regulations within the food & beverage industry.
• Support team leadership by mentoring staff, coordinating shifts, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in craft beer brewing or beverage manufacturing within a food & beverage production environment.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures, HACCP principles, CGMP standards, and food safety regulations.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting brewing equipment and performing basic repairs.
• Familiarity with equipment operation including fermenters, packaging lines, forklifts, material handling equipment, and warehouse processes.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations related to recipes, measurements, and quality control parameters.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of industrial chemical handling practices and safety protocols in a beverage production environment.
• Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence and quality assurance practices.
