Lead – Business and Project Development

About the role

We are looking for a commercially driven renewable-energy Business Development Manager to originate, develop and secure biomass, bioenergy and other green-energy projects in Malaysia.

You will be focus on BOOT project development, FiT quota applications and awards, PPA procurement, investment feasibility, commercial negotiations, and strategic transactions including JVs, partnerships and M&A.

What you'll do

• Originate and develop biomass, bioenergy and green-energy projects.
• Prepare, submit and secure or win FiT quota opportunities.
• Support PPA procurement and navigate relevant regulatory requirements.
• Assess financial and techno-economic feasibility and investment returns.
• Structure and execute JVs, partnerships and M&A transactions.
• Negotiate project agreements, fuel-supply arrangements and EPC contracts.

Requirements

• 10+ years of renewable-energy project-development experience.
• Ideally, experience in biomass, bioenergy or waste-to-energy.
• A proven record of identifying, submitting and securing or winning FiT quotas or comparable quota opportunities.
• Experience signing BOOT contracts and securing PPAs.
• Strong financial-feasibility, investment-valuation and commercial-negotiation skills.
• Experience in JV, partnership or M&A structuring.
