Lead Carpenter

Overview

Join our dynamic construction team as a Lead Carpenter and take ownership of bringing building projects to life! In this role, you'll combine hands-on carpentry expertise with team leadership, guiding a crew through framing, finishing, and general carpentry work while ensuring every job meets our standards for quality, safety, and craftsmanship.

Pay rate is competitive and based on experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on carpentry experience, including framing and finish work
• Proven ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications accurately
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, nailing, and fastening with precision
• Prior experience leading or supervising a crew on job sites preferred
• Strong working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and job site equipment
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet all day
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Punctual, dependable, and a strong work ethic, with the ability to motivate a team
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day carpentry work on assigned job sites, including framing, finishing, and general carpentry tasks
• Direct, train, and mentor general laborers and junior carpenters, assigning tasks and monitoring progress
• Review plans and specifications to ensure work is completed accurately and to code
• Coordinate the loading, unloading, and staging of materials and tools on site
• Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to project standards
• Set up and oversee the safe use of scaffolding, ladders, and work stations
• Enforce all on-site safety rules and ensure the crew wears required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Communicate progress, delays, and material needs to project managers or supervisors
• Maintain an organized, hazard-free job site at all times
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and make informed decisions to keep projects on schedule
