Lead Carpenter

Overview

Cucuro Contracting is seeking an experienced Working Lead Carpenter for residential remodeling projects in Morristown and surrounding East Tennessee areas.

This is a hands-on leadership position. We need someone who can take ownership of a project, direct a small crew, understand what needs to happen next, anticipate material needs, and keep the project moving efficiently while working alongside the crew.

Pay: $28–$35/hour based on experience and qualifications.

Duties

• Lead and work alongside a residential remodeling crew
• Manage day-to-day jobsite production and project progress
• Plan and sequence work to keep projects on schedule
• Give clear direction and assign tasks to crew members
• Perform material takeoffs and prepare material lists
• Anticipate materials and upcoming project needs
• Troubleshoot jobsite issues and make sound decisions
• Communicate progress, material needs, and concerns with company ownership
• Maintain high standards for quality, organization, and workmanship

Requirements & Qualifications

• Strong residential remodeling and carpentry experience
• Lead carpenter, foreman, or similar leadership experience preferred
• Ability to manage a project with limited supervision
• Ability to perform accurate material takeoffs
• Knowledge of residential construction sequencing and materials
• Ability to read plans, measurements, and project scopes
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Must be willing and able to perform hands-on carpentry while leading the crew
• Dependable with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

Experience with kitchens, bathrooms, framing, trim/finish carpentry, cabinetry, flooring, decks, doors/windows, and general residential remodeling is preferred.

We are looking for a working leader who can look at a project, know what needs to happen next, organize the crew and materials, and work alongside the team to get the job done.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
