Lead Carpenter

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute high-quality construction projects across various building types. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for managing carpentry crews, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and project specifications. Your expertise in diverse construction disciplines—including framing, drywall, masonry, roofing, and finishing—will drive the success of our projects. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate carpentry teams in the installation of framing, metal stud framing, drywall, trim, siding, stucco, and other finish carpentry tasks.
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to guide project execution.
• Oversee metal building erection, rebar installation, concrete forming, concrete finishing, and masonry work to ensure precision and quality.
• Manage the use of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently on-site while supervising heavy lifting activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and project timelines through effective construction management practices.
• Conduct quality inspections of work completed by team members; address issues promptly to maintain high standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to interpret technical drawings and coordinate project phases seamlessly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site management with a strong background in carpentry, framing, drywall, roofing, masonry, or related fields.
• Demonstrated expertise in metal building erection, concrete forming, rebar installation, welding, plastering, siding, remodeling, and restoration projects.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; proficiency with construction plans is essential.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and performing dimensional measurements with precision.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, scaffolding, roofing work, and general site safety practices.
• Strong understanding of basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations on-site.
• Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing teams of carpenters or construction workers; capable of motivating others while maintaining productivity.
