Lead Carpenter

Our primary focus is interior trim and finish carpentry, including doors, hardware, baseboard, casing, crown molding, shoe molding, stair systems, wall details, board and batten, shiplap, custom trim installations, and other finish carpentry work. We also perform additions, repairs, punch work, and residential construction projects throughout the Myrtle Beach, Conway, Litchfield, and surrounding areas.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, maintains a professional attitude, can work independently when needed, and works well with builders, homeowners, crew members, subcontractors, and office staff. The ideal candidate is willing to take ownership of projects and help move jobs forward from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

-Install and oversee interior trim and finish carpentry

-Install doors, hardware, baseboard, casing, crown molding, shoe molding, stair trim, wall details, shiplap, board and batten, mantels, beams, and other custom trim work

-Read plans, scopes of work, and field measurements

-Maintain quality workmanship and production on job sites

-Lead helpers and crew members when needed

-Communicate with builders, homeowners, subcontractors, and office staff

-Assist with punch lists, service work, and project completion items

-Help coordinate materials and maintain jobsite organization

-Identify and help solve field issues as they arise

-Perform additional carpentry-related duties as required to support project completion

Requirements:

-Strong carpentry and finish trim experience

-Ability to work independently with limited supervision

-Ability to work effectively as part of a team

-Ability to read plans and drawings

-Valid driver’s license

-Reliable transportation

-Must have personal hand tools appropriate for the trade

-Strong communication and organizational skills

-Professional appearance and attitude

-Dependable and punctual

Preferred:

-Leadership or crew management experience

-Experience working directly with builders and homeowners

-Multi-trade construction knowledge

-Experience with residential additions and remodeling

-Truck preferred

-Additional power tools and equipment are a plus
